Smile Makeover: Direct Composite Veneers
Although we have been seeing this young lady in our office for routine dental services for years, she was not ready to proceed with the treatment that was going to give her the smile she always desired. Finally, she decided that it was time to go for it. She was missing her upper lateral incisors (#7 and #10) due to genetics. To compensate, her canines had shifted forward, and although teeth #6, 8, and 9 were bonded in the past, the shorter length of her front teeth gave her a reverse smile.
Using advanced scanning technology and digital planning, we designed a treatment plan to reshape her smile and create the natural look of a full set of upper front teeth (#6–11). With a conservative approach, we enhanced and reshaped her existing teeth with direct composite veneers, preserving the natural teeth underneath while creating balance and symmetry.
The result was a seamless, beautiful smile. Today, no one would ever know her canines were reshaped to appear as laterals, or that she was missing teeth at all.
