Smile Makeover: Gum Lifting and Porcelain Veneers & Crowns
This young artist came to our office with concerns about her smile. She presented with enamel erosion on her upper teeth, visible tooth discoloration, and dentin exposure with translucency on the incisal edges. Her teeth were chipped, her midline was off, creating a crooked smile, and she also had excessive gum tissue that made her teeth appear shorter than they were.
To restore her smile, we first performed gingival recontouring with a laser to carefully reshape the gumline and expose more natural tooth structure. This created the proper foundation for long-lasting restorations. We then placed custom Emax porcelain restorations, known for their durability and lifelike translucency, to correct her midline and rebuild proper length and proportion.
The result is a vibrant, uniform smile that is healthier, balanced, and aesthetically stunning. The combination of gum contouring and Emax restorations not only enhanced her appearance but also improved her overall oral health and bite function.
