Options for Dealing with Dental Fear

People who are looking for a "cater to cowards dentist" have different levels of dental fear. Some want to be "put out." For those guests, we offer anxiolysis. You take a pill the night before and another pill just before your appointment. This won't actually "knock you out" - that wouldn't be safe. But it makes you anxiety free, and very sleepy and relaxed. And it has an amnesia effect. You'll be aware of Dr. Sadati talking and will be able to respond to requests to open your mouth, but you probably won't remember what he did when you're done. For others who just have trouble getting numb and have milder anxieties, we have nitrous oxide gas. This is very popular, because, while it relaxes you profoundly and makes you feel almost as if you are somewhere else, it wears off immediately at the end of the appointment so that you can drive yourself home or go back to work.
